Our treehouse is located in the Zugspitzblick area of the Camping Resort Zugspitze in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It sits approximately four meters above the ground, nestled among mature trees. With 35 square meters of living space, a private bathroom, kitchen, and plenty of room for two, you'll have four nights to enjoy the Eibsee, a trip to Germany's highest mountain, our sauna, and peaceful hours in the treehouse.

The minimum stay in our treehouse is normally four nights. During the winter season, it's seven nights. This gives you plenty of time to explore the Zugspitze region and still find peace and quiet. Because our treehouse in Grainau isn't just a special place to sleep. It's your home in nature and your base camp for days spent between Lake Eibsee, the Zugspitze, and the Wetterstein Mountains.
In the morning, you can pick up fresh bread rolls with our bread delivery service and enjoy breakfast with a view of the Zugspitze. Afterwards, you can drive to Lake Eibsee, take the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway to the top, or explore the trails around the Wetterstein Mountains. In the afternoon, our sauna and fitness area await you. In the evening, you can dine at the Schmölzer Wirt restaurant or retreat to the treehouse.

Excursion tip: Eibsee in Grainau
Lake Eibsee is one of the most popular natural destinations in the Zugspitze region. It lies at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain and is easily accessible from our Camping Resort Zugspitze. Clear water. Small islands. Wooded shores. And the Wetterstein Mountains right behind it.
For your romantic getaway at the Zugspitze, an early start is recommended. The area around the lake is often quieter in the morning. Along the circular trail, new views of the water and the surrounding mountains constantly unfold. Afterwards, you'll return to our Camping Resort Zugspitze. Perhaps straight to the sauna. Or maybe first to the treehouse. With tea, a book, and time for a relaxing afternoon.
A visit to Lake Eibsee can also be easily combined with a trip to the Zugspitze. From the lake, a cable car takes you to Germany's highest mountain. Alternatively, you can take the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway via Grainau. This means two of the region's most exciting experiences are right on our doorstep.

As a guest of our treehouse, you can use our sauna and fitness area in the Zugspitze View section. There you'll find a Finnish sauna made of reclaimed wood, a bio sauna, an infrared sauna, and relaxation rooms. This way, your stay in the treehouse in Grainau combines nature, exercise, and wellness. You don't need a meticulously planned spa day. Often, an hour in the sauna before returning to your treehouse is all it takes.

The course is located directly on our resort grounds, so you can stay active without having to travel anywhere else.
In the evening, you can go to the Schmölzer Wirt restaurant. It's also located right in our Camping Resort Zugspitze. The Bistro Alpspitzblick offers drinks, coffee, and cake. And sometimes the best thing to do when the weather is bad is quite simple: stay in your treehouse. Have a leisurely breakfast. Cook. Read. Watch the clouds over the Wetterstein Mountains. That's all part of a short break in the mountains.
