New rental car fleet at Camping Resort Zugspitze
Guests at Camping Resort Zugspitze now have access to an expanded fleet of rental cars. Two Minis and a VW bus can be rented directly at reception. This allows for flexible exploration of the region – without having to drive your own campervan.
Treehouse opening & double win at the Campsite Award 2023 (insert images)
Since summer 2021, the treehouse at Camping Resort Zugspitze has delighted guests with its unique Alpine flair and modern comfort. Just two years after its opening, it received multiple awards at the Campsite Awards 2023. Guests and expert judges voted the resort number 1 in the categories "Best Permanent Rental Accommodation" and "Best Place for Hiking".
A reason to celebrate: 1 million overnight stays
There's reason to celebrate again: On January 2nd, 2024, we recorded our one millionth overnight stay. The lucky guests from Schwetzingen were delighted to receive a voucher for an overnight stay. The Hassert family has spent many camping holidays with us because they simply feel at home here and appreciate the hospitality of the resort team.

A new, high-quality holiday apartment is now available for guests at the Camping Resort Zugspitze. The spacious accommodation combines modern comfort with alpine charm and offers everything needed for a relaxing stay. From the panoramic balcony, guests can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains of the Zugspitze region.
New Kneipp pool at Hammersbach – a nature experience with a view of the Alps
At the end of the dog-friendly circular trail, guests of the Camping Resort Zugspitze will find a new Kneipp pool filled with fresh water from the Hammersbach stream. Constructed from large river stones, the pool blends harmoniously into the landscape and invites visitors to cool off naturally. Nearby, new stone picnic areas offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sound of the stream and the view of the Alps.
“Favorite spot” at the Zugspitze
The Camping Resort Zugspitze in Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen has been named "Favorite Spot in Upper Bavaria" by the cooperation mein PLATZ and Camping in Bavaria. The award is part of the new Favorite Spot in Upper Bavaria tour, which, under the motto "Enjoying Life – Relaxed Living," leads from Taufkirchen an der Vils to the five-star resort at the foot of the Zugspitze.
New dog walking path at Camping Resort Zugspitze
Camping Resort Zugspitze now offers even more comfort for guests with dogs. A newly created dog-friendly circular trail leads directly from the campsite along the Hammersbach stream, following shady paths. A dog shower, waste disposal station, and dog-friendly restaurants also ensure relaxing holidays with your four-legged friend.
