General Terms and Conditions of Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH
- Conclusion of the contract
By registering, you are making a binding offer to the landlord to conclude a rental agreement. This can be done in writing, verbally, by telephone or by electronic data transmission. The contract becomes binding for the campsite once it has been confirmed in writing by Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH. If the content of the travel confirmation differs from the content of the registration, we are bound to this new offer for 10 days. The contract is concluded on the basis of this new offer if you confirm your acceptance within this period. If you register on arrival, the contract becomes binding when Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH has allocated you a pitch at the Grainau campsite and your details have been recorded at reception. Please always present your identity card or passport at reception on arrival.
- Prices, payment, minimum stay and cancellation policy
Please refer to our current price list for fees. These are considered to be fixed. The fees are due for payment on the day of departure. In order to guarantee your booking, a partial payment of EUR 50 per pitch, EUR 80 per barrel and EUR 200 per mountain hut is due within one week of receiving the reservation confirmation.
The following flat-rate fees will be charged for cancelling a pitch/sleeping barrel:
Cancellation is free of charge up to 16 days before the start of the contract.
The reservation fee is forfeited 15 to 5 days before the start of the contract.
The full fee as stated in the booking confirmation is due 4 days before the start of the contract.
The following flat-rate fees will be charged for cancellations of mountain huts/tree houses:
Cancellation is free of charge up to 21 days before the start of the contract.
The reservation fee is cancelled 20 to 14 days before the start of the contract.
The full fee stated in the booking confirmation is payable 13 days before the start of the contract.
If the pitch/sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house is not occupied by 8 a.m. one day after the agreed start of the contract and no arrangements have been made for later occupancy, the pitch/sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house may be used and allocated elsewhere by the site management. If a booked pitch/sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house is not available on time due to adverse circumstances, the tenant shall grant a grace period until 6 p.m. If the pitch/sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house is still not available within this grace period, we as the landlord shall provide a replacement pitch of at least the same category. If you are not satisfied with this replacement, you have the option of cancelling free of charge.
Camping discounts: Please let us know in advance or present your membership card upon arrival if you wish to claim a discount. Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply discounts retrospectively.
Package deals and special offers: No discounts are granted on package deals and special offers. It is not possible to subsequently change a package deal to a different price category or vice versa. In the event of early departure, the total amount of the package used will still be charged.
Special rules for bookings during the festive season (approx. 18 December to 9 January):
During the festive season, a minimum stay of 4 nights (pitches and barrels) or 7 nights (mountain huts/tree houses) applies. A deposit equal to the cost of the first 4 nights is due upon receipt of the booking confirmation. If this is not paid, the landlord reserves the right to cancel the booking. In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the following flat-rate fees will be charged:

- Early departure from pitch/sleeping barrel
In the event of early departure, an additional daily fee shall be payable in addition to the fees already incurred for the actual period of use of the pitch. A pitch that becomes vacant due to early departure may be used and allocated elsewhere by the site management.
- Early departure from mountain hut/tree house
In the event of early departure, the full fee stated in the booking confirmation is payable. A mountain hut/tree house that becomes vacant due to early departure may be used and allocated elsewhere by the site management.
- Extension of stay
If you wish to extend your stay beyond the agreed period, please inform us at reception at least two days in advance. If an extension is possible, we will be happy to accommodate your request and extend the contract according to our availability.
- campsite regulations
The tenant and his fellow travellers must observe the campsite regulations displayed. In the event of gross or repeated violations, the landlord has the option of terminating the contract without notice and without prior warning, unless otherwise agreed in writing between the contracting parties. In the event of termination without notice, you are not entitled to a pro-rata refund or waiver of the fees incurred for the contractually agreed period; this also applies to the annual fee for permanent pitches.
- visitors
Please register visitors (day visitors and overnight guests) at reception. The fee for visitors can be found in the current price list. Please inform your guests about the campsite rules. Visitors must park their vehicles in a car park outside the campsite.
- liability
Every guest undertakes to treat the pitch and the campsite facilities with care. The tenant is liable for damage to the campsite facilities or equipment if it was caused by him, his fellow travellers or visitors.
- Arrival and departure
The pitch/sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house is available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival (earlier if available) and must be vacated by no later than
– 11 a.m. (pitch)
– 10 a.m. (sleeping barrel/mountain hut/tree house)
on the day of departure.
- Severability clause
Should parts of these general terms and conditions contradict applicable or future law, the remainder of the agreement shall remain unaffected.
- Place of jurisdiction and place of performance
The exclusive place of jurisdiction and place of performance for both parties shall be the local court responsible for the registered office of Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH.
