The five-star resort in Grainau impresses guests and experts alike
The Camping Resort Zugspitze in Grainau continues its success story and is once again ranked among the best campsites in Germany. At the 2018 Campsite Awards, the resort took third place in the “Location” category and was recognized for its special location at the foot of the Zugspitze. In addition to the audience award, the resort can also celebrate receiving the “ANWB Recommended Campsite” rating for the first time – awarded by the largest camping association in the Netherlands.
The high level of guest satisfaction is also reflected in the figures: in 2017, the resort recorded around 95,500 overnight stays – an increase of over 13,000 compared to the previous year. Guests particularly praised the cleanliness, friendliness, and peaceful atmosphere of the site.
Amenities include private bathrooms with showers and toilets, individual gas connections, a modern spa with fitness area, and the Schmölzer Wirt restaurant. The neighboring Camping Erlebnis Zugspitze campground also scored highly and was voted one of the best campsites of 2017 by CaraMaps.
